Frodsham Chess Club.
Frodsham Chess club was founded in 1971 by Arthur Miller after a meeting in his front room! Since then the group have competed in a number of leagues including the Warrington and Wirral Leagues. The high point was winning the Peninsula Cup in 1976. The Group have been based at the Community Centre for almost the entire history of the club except for a brief period when they started meeting in a local pub, however they were asked to leave as no-one bought any beer!

Frodsham Community Centre provides a base for local groups, and hires space for rehearsals, workshops, evening classes, family celebrations, children's parties and meetings.
